0000052: Bulk file upload doesn't work

When I try to manually upload a large number of files by copying these directly into the /var/www/joomla/downloads folder, the downloadarea checker finds the files and lists these, but won't publish them. It even shows a tick to say they are published, but they are not! Worse, every time you try again, it adds the files again to the database, so you quickly end up with thousands of files.

I think any folder should have two fields in DB:
1. Name - shown in frontend
2. Alias - folder's name in file system on server

Hi!
i think for large file databases and many categories it'd be really helpful for the users to have linkable breadcrumbs to navigate through the files.
It really makes browsing a tough job without it. always getting back to the homepage and restart the search through the folders.
A "level up" button would be great too.

Hallo Support-Team,

das File-Plugin verträgt sich nciht mit dem ReDim ImageSizer Plugin - Version 1.4p2 (http://www.redim.de/) [^]
Ich benutze das ImageSizer Plugin um Bilder im Content zu vegrößern und in einer Lightbox (Slimbox v1.57) anzeigen zu lassen.
Aber immer wenn ich euer Plugin aktiviere wird die Lightbox von euerm Plugin gestartet. Diese läuft dann aber nur im Firefox 3.5 und nicht im Internetexplorer, und die ist auf Englisch.
Ich habe nun aus eurem Code die zeilen mit dem Aufruf der Lightbox gelöscht (z.Zt. brauche ich die Screenshot-Anzeige nicht) und nun klappt auch der ImageSizer wieder einwandfrei.

This may apply to all backend lists (I haven't checked), but today I found that the "page 2" and "next" pagination links do NOT advance the list of downloads. The only way I could access files at the end of the list was to increase the page size. This is a CRITICAL BUG because it has the potential to block administrative access to download items when the number of downloads is greater than 50.

I have a problem. On my server php config is: upload_max_filesize = 10M
max_execution_time = 180
but anyway, jdownloads don't upload files less than 5 Mb. Why? And how i can fix it??

When editing download in the backend, if the option "Please select picture on server" is set to "No picture select", jDownload tries to load the above missing picture file.

Should amend the code to either no load any file, or load a transparent 1x1 image.

0000039: "Must be approved" notice for files already approved and published.

It appears that the "wait for approval" notification following the upload process doesn't care about the configuration settings. When uploads are automatically published, users still see a notice that the file must be approved.

Either there is faulty code (not checking the auto-publication setting) or jDownloads is displaying the wrong language item.

Hi there,

When I try to add an external link for the download file, it seems to add extra "/" to the URL. So
http:\\www.xxxxxxxxxxx.org\mp3\Beggarly_Elements.mp3
becomes
http:\\\\www.xxxxxxxxxx.org\\mp3\\Beggarly_Elements.mp3
hence the download does not work.
95% of my files are on an external site to the Joomla site.

The mirror download doesnt work with SEF activated, it gives "URL Not Found" error message, the "File on external webpage" option doesnt matter.

0000033: download notification configuration problem

Hi, I think there is a bug in the configuration of the email layout for the download notification.
Whatever text I input in the box of the email layout, it cannot be saved i.e after saving the layout when I see it again I see an empty box.

The upload layout works properly i.e all the changes I do are correctly saved.

0000031: External download operation doesn't work under IE 6/7 (Joomla! 1.0.15)

Download operations that DO work under Firefox do NOT work under IE6 and IE7. Joomla! 1.0.15 just navigates to the front page. I first noticed and replicated this problem trying to download files that were setup as external items. I don't know if it is a general jDownloads + IE issue. I've also known about this problem for several weeks, but increasing complaints and frustration from users reminded me that this problem needs to be fixed. It is a critical bug as long as people continue to use Internet Explorer.

0000012: Continue button on layout "without checkboxes"

Even though it's not needed in the layout without checkboxes there is a "continue" button on the file page.

When pressed the user get's the message "no files selected" which is of course not possible in the layout.

The upload directory couldnt be renamed to anything else but downloads. I receive this error message:
